The Scale House Market and Kitchen responds to Spokane's need for a permanent-structure farmers market and commercial kitchen to support farm and food businesses, food system resiliency and security, and community vibrancy year-round. Our recent CERB feasibility study projects that the Scale House Market and Kitchen will host 249,000 visitors annually, including 18,000 who qualify for food assistance programs such as SNAP, Market Match, Senior Farmers Market Nutrition, and WIC. The Scale House Market will be overseen by the SCD board of directors and operated by an experienced, professional management team.

Located at the Spokane Conservation District Campus - The Quarry, the market boasts a 4,300-square-foot scale house that will be retrofitted to host 25 vendors, a commercial kitchen, walk-in cold and freezer storage, and public restrooms. Outside, a 7,100-square-foot open-air area welcomes 30 vendors, food trucks, a stage for demonstrations, and an arts-and-culture activity space.
